Michael Daymond-King
Ethical Water Brands and KiwiPhil was the brainchild of winemaker and entrepreneur Michael Daymond-King, and two long time friends, Paul Burgin and Janine.
Now with the launch of KiwiPhil, Michael and his friends have created a positive and openly transparent direct link from the buyer of an everyday item like a bottle of water in a Western country to the lives of people so poor they don't have clean water.
KiwiPhil will post its accounts on this website and update them every six months, so you can see where the money goes.Michael’s life has always been connected with
enthusiasms of one sort or another, but from
an early age charity work was always in the
mix somewhere.
Paul Burgin
I have a background of 23 years working for major financial institutions in the City of London, time spent as a financial markets trainer, several years as trader for a BVI hedge fund and latterly as head of Burgin Investment Strategies where I have remained in touch with my business analysis roots.
The sea change from the classic capitalist self focus was the birth of my twin daughters 5½ years ago; since then I have been searching for a project like Kiwiphil; one where I can use my time for the good of those less fortunate.
A good exercise for the heart is to bend down and help another up.
